About the Instructor
Rodrigo Leite graduated top of his class at the Connecticut K-9 Educational Center in Newington CT. Rod has dedicated his life and career to the care and well being of animals.
Beginning with riding horses as a child in Brazil, and owning and caring for many dogs as pets, Rodrigo took his love of animals to the US by working as a wild animal keeper for the Wildlife Conservation Society. Rodrigo began his grooming career for Beau Chien Grooming Salon and the NY Dog Spa and Hotel in New York City
He currently runs HomeDoggy, a grooming salon at the Prospect Park Animal clinic in Park Slope, Brooklyn, as well as making HomeDoggy house calls for clients.
He specializes in the hand strip technique, a method which can be taught as a continuing education course.
